I am a West Michigan mixed media artist who is currently studying at Grand Valley State University. I will be graduating in 2026 with a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts and an emphasis in Visual Studies. My creative interests include psychology and the relationship between humans and death. Using a variety of found materials and artistic mediums, I explore philosophical aspects of humanity, and how the mind navigates life and death.

My art dives into death’s psychological impact on humans and how emotions change based on different contexts. Though death is inevitable for every living creature, it is a topic that is commonly avoided. The passing of animals is even more often dismissed by humans. Dead animals on the side of the road are a part of everyday life, and aren’t typically given much thought. The main reason for my work is to force the viewer to be confronted with something that they would typically glance over. I want my work to be something that can not be ignored, something that forces people to face what they have been conditioned to fear.
